El Zorro and Ñandú go on holiday

The fox combed his long tail and went to visit his friend the ñandú. The ñandú was trying on hats on the banks of the lagoon as he looked reflected in the water. The strange fox asked him, “What are you doing?” - Yeah. - I'm getting ready to go on vacation! - And where? -I don't know! I want to travel! Change air! Get to know the sea! There he is! I'm going to sea! Do you want to come? - I don't know. What is the Sea? - You're a brute! You have no world! The sea! The ocean! Where there's so much water you can see infinity. Sandy beaches. Lots of sunshine! Everybody's going to the sea. - Hit him! I'll come with you!

The two friends walked through the countryside until they reached a busy route. - You see? - Yeah. told him the nandou! Everyone goes on vacation! __ - And you know where the sea is? - The skunk asked. “There. “Said the ñandú pointing to a sign that said Mar del Plata 250 km.

The fox climbed over the ñandú and began to finger them up.

After a long wait he stopped a van loaded with chickens. The driver asked them if they were going to Mar del Plata and they said yes. When they were about to climb, he asked the yander. “Is that a fox? - No! - He said the yandu. - It's my little dog. His name is Chucho. Looks like a fox... - No! It's a dog! I looked like he barks. And he went to the fox and said to him, “Show the lord how you bark.” The fox said: - Wow! Wow! - Yeah. - It's all right. Then go upstairs and I'll take you. The driver answered confidently.

They settled among the chickens that began to cackle when they recognized the presence of their greatest enemy. The fox had his mouth water before so many delicacies. But the nandou warned him. - If you don't want to walk, you're gonna have to make an effort and behave yourself. The fox replied: - Wow! Wow! - Yeah.

With the rattling of the van, the yandu finally fell asleep. The fox thought: There are so many chickens if one is missing, they will not notice. It was the right time to delight in his favorite dish - fresh chicken. He chose the chubby one and ate it. He was so delicious that he decided to eat another and another and another.

The alarmed chickens began to cackle louder and louder until the driver stopped the van and saw that he had half the chickens left. Then he threw them on the road while yelling at them, “Thieves, murderers! “ I've been eaten by chickens! - Yeah. The ñandú took off the race with the fox climbed on his feathers. And the driver ran after them while he threw them with all the stone he found but the ñandú was very fast and soon they disappeared from their sight. - Because of you now we're going to have to walk. Said the yandu - I couldn't resist the temptation. Said the fox. Behind a tree they saw a sleeping man snoring deeply and next to him there was a bicycle. They decided to continue their journey by pedaling. The problem was that if the fox sat, he would get to the handlebars but couldn't pedal. And if he pedaled, he couldn't take the wheel. Then the fox took the wheel and the yandu pedaled and so they went on journey. The man woke up and began to scream: - Help! Help! Help! Thieves! My bike was stolen. But the ñandú pedal hard until he lost sight of it.

As they walked into the sea they saw large posters with their faces printed. “Look, “said the fox. - They're welcoming us. “What a joy, “replied the yandu. “ But the posters said Wanted. Bicycle thieves. Chicken eaters.

They finally got to the beach. They were happy to have successfully achieved their goal and ran to dive into the sea. - Ah!!!!!!!!!!!! This is life! - The nandou said... A wave wrapped the fox with all its strength and after rolling it a few meters threw him to the beach completely dizzy. The ñandú with its long legs gracefully raffled the waves. I better stay sunbathing, thought and settled in a couple of chairs and an umbrella. The yandu shook the water his feathers and sat next to him.

They opened a basket containing a vianda and began to swallow sandwiches, fruits and cookies. When their mouths were full, the owner of the chairs, the umbrella and the food came up furiously, seeing that they had taken his place and had eaten his lunch. - Can you tell what they're doing? The man asked furiously, as the baby cried and the woman screamed - Police! Call the police! - Yeah. “We're on vacation,” replied the fox. - These are my things. He said furious the man. “This is a public beach, “replied the ñandú. -Public is the sand and the sea, not my sandwich-. Get out of here! Oh, you guys!

Police sirens were heard, people began to crowd. Faced with such a stir they decided to escape the race and the cops ran behind with nets to hunt them but hid in a cave among the rocks.

At night when there was no one left on the beach, they came back to see if they could find something to eat. The fox was disappointed. The waves were too big. He didn't like clams or fish. Seagulls were flying before he could get close. There were no little field mice, no little birds. The nandou was sad, too. There was no grass to eat, no scrubs to lay their big eggs. The experience of the holiday at sea was not what they expected.

When they were distracted two nets fell on them. The cops drove them to the zoo until an authority arrived and decided what to do with them. The next day a judge came and explained to them one by one all their misdeeds: Devouring other people's chickens. Lying, pretending to be a dog. Steal a bike that didn't belong to them. Occupy umbrellas and lounge chairs. Eating a family's lunch. Escape from authority.

And after challenging them, he gave them two options. One was to go back to the field and never come back or stay forever in the zoo. They apologized to the judge, crying repentantly. The judge felt sorry and decided to move them to the camp under the promise that they would never leave there again.

The two friends embraced each other happy to be able to return to their relatives and friends.

The Adventurous Ants

Three friendly ants, Lala, Lola and Luli, left the anthill for a walk in the countryside because it was a beautiful sunny day.

On their way, they found some very large prints. As they liked the adventure they decided to follow them to see where they were going. They walked many hours but the eagerness to find the owner of these footsteps made them go on tirelessly.

The prints took them to a place where there was an object in the shape of a chicken egg but giant.

Would it be an egg? No, I don't. They've never seen anything like that. What monster could get out of there? Who would have laid such an egg?

Luli, who was very fanciful and liked to watch the news, said, “This is not an egg. It's a UFO.

Lola, who was very afraid and had never seen anything like it, began to tremble like a leaf and yell, “A UFO? “ What's a UFO? - Yeah.

Luli, showing his knowledge, explained: It is an unidentified flying object. It can be the ship of a Martian, an alien, a being from another planet.

Lala, who was always studious and analyzed each subject carefully, exclaimed as she approached to touch it: “This is not a UFO, it's an egg! - Oh, yeah.

Lola, who kept shaking, shouted: I don't care if it's a UFO or an egg! I'm going to the anthill! And I'm going now! - Yeah.

Lala recalled that her grandmother had told her that there were very large birds called ñandus, but she had never seen any of them and did not want to leave because she was very curious and did not want to miss the opportunity to see what they were like.

Suddenly, the egg began to tremble and the ants hid scared behind a clover.

The shell broke and a giant pigeon poked his head. The pigeon stood up with difficulty. He had very big eyes and a very long neck. It also had very long legs and beautiful feathers.

The ants looked at each other confused. The big pigeon came up and said, “Mom! - Mom! - Mom! Lala said to her, “We are not your mom,

The pigeon began to cry. Tears rolled from his huge sad eyes.

Lola always afraid said, “Don't come near us that if he steps on us, he'll kill us.” Luli exclaimed, “We must find the mother.”

Lala, taking the initiative, approached the giant pigeon and said, “We will find your mother following her footsteps.”

The pigeon was glad. The three ants climbed up to his feathered back and looked at the footprints told him where he should walk.

Lala fondly stroking his feathers told him - No. That's not your mom! - The pigeon seemed very sad.

Ants began to get restless. The footprints were heading towards a mountain.

Lola trembled. - We're going to get lost! - screamed.

Lala shut her up. Shut up for once! - We have to find the mother.

Suddenly, on the shore of a lagoon they saw Mama ñandú.

  • There's your mom! - shouted the three enthusiastic ants.

The pigeon jumped into the race and the ants had to hold tightly on their feathers so as not to fall.

When Mama Ñandú saw her son, she hugged herself tightly crying excited. The pigeon smiled. They were happy.

Then the grateful mother to Lala, Lola and Luli invited them to climb their feathered loin and along with her son took them back to their anthill.

The ant colony went out to receive them as they had noticed their long absence and were worried.

They told their adventure, met these huge birds called ñandus, and they all celebrated the encounter.
