Anco was a peaceful and peaceful man. During his reign he dedicated himself to strengthening the state and carried out numerous works. His reign is closely linked to another character of the time called Lucuno. Lucius was born in the city of Tarquina and his wife was called Tarquinil.
Tarquinil convinced LĂșcuno that they had to move to Rome in order to achieve a more prosperous future and since Lucuno was very ambitious he accepted the proposal.
They gathered their belongings and set off for Rome in a splendid and luxurious carriage.
When they had arrived almost at the gates of the city, an eagle appeared and flew in a dive over Lucuno by snatching his hat, and then dropping it on his head again.
Tanaquil made his own interpretation of the unusual event by saying: - This means that you will become an extremely important man and that in the end you will be crowned king.
As soon as they arrived in Rome, they settled in a mansion in the most important neighborhood of the city and Lucuno changed his name to adapt to the Roman taste. From there it was called Lucio Tarquinius Prisco, but friends and acquaintances called him Tarquinius.
Tarquinius and his wife soon interacted with the most important characters of the city, offering frequent parties and banquets.
In this way, they gained the trust of King Anco Martius, who decided to appoint Tarquinius as tutor or instructor of his children.
When Anco Martius died, Tarquinius' excessive ambition led him to plot a plan to settle on the throne; He organized a hunt to remove Anco's two sons from the palace and once the young men were far away, he summoned the people, and, using his power of persuasion, convinced them that he was the best candidate to ascend the throne. and achieved its purpose.
When the princes returned from their hunt, they had no choice but to accept the situation, although they vowed to take revenge one day.
